2010 OSHAWA GOLD BOND RACE

AMOS, QC – September 25th, 2010
(or the nearest favorable date)

RACE MILEAGE LIMIT: This race is open to fanciers whose distance from Amos is 445 Km or more. All flyers must be in good standing with the CU or other pigeon organization.  The Oshawa Gold Bond committee reserves the right to refuse fanciers at our own discretion.

BONDS:  $20.00 per bond plus $5.00 per loft administration fee to be paid when purchasing the bonds.  Minimum 5 bonds

ENCORE RACE: Flyers that purchase 10 or more bonds have the option to enter the “Encore Race” $20.00 per birds, plus $5.00 per loft administration fee, no limit.

3 BIRD AVARAGE RACE: Only for the Oshawa Gold Bond Race - $50.00 for three birds, plus $5.00 per loft per each unit of three administration fee, no limit, must nominate each unit separately. Average speed will be calculated in groups of three as nominated. Prizes: 50%, 30% and 20%.

AS AN ADDED BONUS EACH UNIT OF 5 BONDS PURCHASED BEFORE FEBRUARY 28, 2009 RECEIVES AN EXTRA BOND – NO BONDS WILL BE SOLD AFTER JUNE  30th, 2010

BOUNDARIES: Lofts west of junction of Hwy 32 & 401 (Gananoque) a straight line from that point to Hwy 62 & 41 (Penbroke)

OUT OF AREA BIRDS:  Birds will be placed by the Gold Bond Committee or make your own arrangements.  Only birds entered by the out-of-area- breeder may be entered in the race, no substitute by the flyer.

MEASUREMENTS: If you don’t have Loft Co-ordinates acceptable to the Gold Bond Committee and you require measurements, we will obtain them for you at the cost of $30.00.

PRIZES:  Proceeds of all three races less 10% and expenses, 25% of total prize money down to $25.00.  If no birds are clocked in race time, money will be refunded less 10% and expenses.  In the event that only a few birds are clocked in race time prize money will be exhausted amongst said birds, distribution to be determined by the Gold Bond Committee.  Race will end when velocity drops below 400 Meters per Minute.  All winnings will be paid to the loft of entry.

PROGRESSIVE POOLS FOR OGB & ENCORE:  $1.00. $2.00, $5.00, $10.00. $20.00, $50.00, $100.00 Paid Out 10 to 1

LOFT AUCTION:  Night of shipping. Proceeds less 10% to be split 50%, 30% and 20%.   

LOFT POOL: $20.00 per loft to be split 50%, 30% and 20%.

SHIPPING:  Thursday September 23rd, 2010 at Kingside Park Clubhouse, 537 Tennyson Ave., Oshawa from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

DIRECTIONS: Hwy 401 to Harmony Rd. exit, travel west on Bloor St., turn north on Wilson (right) to the first street, (Dean Ave. with traffic light) turn east (right) straight ahead to Kingside Park.  Direction’s Map

CLOCKS:  CU approved clocks only.  Clocks with capsules must have hinges up. Electronic Clocks: All equipment available for Tipes & Unikon users, all others must provide their own equipment.

MEASUREMENTS AND WINNING BIRDS:  The Oshawa Gold Bond Committee reserves the right to verify all winning birds and confirm all race measurements with GPS.
